It's a "Twist Filler" (really a piston), only made in 1943. As I understand it, it didn't sell well because it was overpriced in comparison to the J pens that dealers still had. All of the metal on it is palladium/silver because of war rationing, both the nib and cap trim. These usually don't work and are near impossible to repair but this one works!

 

It is it between the size of a Transitional J and a Transitional SJ, those are the other two pens in the pictures.

 

Now I have to decide if I can afford to keep it unsure.png

Given how rare these pens are- you should consider keeping it! I did not notice what you paid for the lot, but it is probable that you got a good deal including that pen in the mix! The bonus is that it works!

I'm want to keep it but might need the cash. It wasn't actually in a lot, the other pens are just for size reference. I bought it by itself in an eBay auction, it wasnt properly IDed. At least one other person figured it out but I still got it for pretty cheap (~$100).

Yes, nice find. Those are uncommon pens.
