Hi gang

Just wondering how many in the group are keen with regard to collecting ink bottles, wells, etc., and also printed material?  It started as a small 'sub' collection for me, but it growing steadily... today was a BIG day.\

In particular, I was given today - generously by a professional friend of mine - an old pamphlet entitled: A few notes on MANDARIN Drawing Inks (by; Winsor & Newton, Ltd. London. I’ve scoured their website but couldn’t find it anywhere, so have contacted them.  I have already gotten a response to say they have received my email and are scouring their historical documentation to attempt to advise me more.

I also picked up: 2 x Swan Ink bottles (one full); 2 x Waterman bottles; and 1 x Angus & Co. (Melbourne, Australia) very small full bottle of 'Rubber Stamp Ink Pad Ink'

I have added the photo's to one of my albums (and have noticed I didn't photograph my 'little' Swan bottle, so about to do that before I head for bed.)

Pen collecting can lead to ancillary interests. Roger iirc has interest in very early Sheaffer ink bottles.  Suspect the only collectable ink bottle I own is a large Carter's in cobalt

I just love the small bottles in all the variations  Especially the limited editions from MontBlanc. The inkwells like JFK or Blue Hour are awesome.

And of course we shouldn't forget the nice bottles of Montegrappa in the octagonal shape - small beauties ;)
