Does that mean it's a big secret?

No big secrets., though there is quite a bit lurking.

Paul is off the PENnant. Jon Veley is the new Editor. The mag appears to be behind schedule. Fran the graphic designer/layout artist has left.  That's the superficial stuff.  The deep stuff I'll discuss at the Black Pen Society mega-meeting at DC.

regards

Aha. I hope to see Paul in San Fran and can chat. I've been vocal, including to him, about what a great job he has always done in his position. This does not please me, unless it was Paul's choice.

Thanks, David.

Probably not DC. I am retiring Sept 1st and the company is working me during the transistion. Plus I got cleaned out in Chicago a major sell for me. I talked to Paul today and learned a little also to Roger Wooten as well as Peter Sacopulos. I am a bit offput by the events but I am but a grain of sand on Pebble Beach with no input. If you can backchannel me David I would be grateful

The nice thing is that rich dirt can yield lovely trees.

Hello all, I can now confirm that I am the Editor of the Pennant.  I just signed the contract this morning. I don't have any direct knowledge concerning what prompted the PCA to ask me to serve, but now that I'm here I'll work the task assigned to me to the best of my ability.

I'm looking forward to working with everyone and continuing to put out a great magazine.  David, as we discussed backchannel I'm looking forward to the third installment of your series of articles on Gold Bond.

To everyone else, if you have articles written and would like them considered for the Pennant, please let me know.

-Jon
