HisNibs.com update -- First Flight in from China
July 27th, 2014

Greetings all,

As promised in the last newsletter, the first restocking flight has arrived aboard the His Nibs' airplane 'Valkyrie'  from China.

As I've made use of a number of sources in China this time, there will be several different shipments.

First up are several of your favorites from Lanbitou: the Chevron series http://hisnibs.com/chevrons.htm; the Pocket Rocket http://hisnibs.com/pocket_rocket1.htm; and the Space Arrow http://hisnibs.com/space_arrow.htm (the later two being diminutive writers).

The Clearance sale continues! I've added a rather unique cloisonné Golden Dragon & Phoenix fountain pen/rollerball this time. These are all new, old stock pens, and can be found at our clearance page http://www.hisnibs.c...arance_sale.htm.

These are all mint, single items --and so the first "I want it" email (mailto:orders@hisnibs.com) gets it, and I'll try to keep the webpage updated with 'sold out' labels -- or erased items -- as frequently as possible.

As this newsletter goes out to a mailing list of thousands of customers, please understand if there's a delay in answering your email queries or orders after one of these is sent. We will respond in order received and as soon as possible!

Lanbitou Chevrons series

The Lanbitou Chevrons is a slim, mid-sized pen, measuring 5-1/2" capped, 6-1/8" posted and 4-1/2" with cap held aside.

This is a striking pen, in either finish, with a repeated chevron-pattern inscribed in the metal of the barrel and cap. Although the pattern is just discernible to touch, it's actually a very smooth-feeling texture. It's just enough of a design feature, at a distance, to provide a very nice visual characteristic to a streamlined pen profile.

Lanbitou Pocket Rocket

The Pocket Rocket is a pen that will fit anywhere -- like the Space Arrow http://hisnibs.com/space_arrow.htm and Monteverde Poquito http://hisnibs.com/poquito_fp.htm --  and perfect for those times when a sequestered fountain pen is the only way to go.

The pen measures a scant 3-3/4" capped, an eminently comfortable 5" posted and a virtually unusable 3-1/8" with cap held aside.

Lanbitou Space Arrow

Like it's 'brother' the Pocket Rocket http://hisnibs.com/pocket_rocket1.htm and the Monteverde Poquito http://hisnibs.com/poquito_fp.htm, the Space Arrow is a diminutive pocket pen that posts to become a full-sized writer. It measures 3-3/4" capped, a respectable 5-1/4" posted and a still-useable (for smaller hands) 3-1/2" with cap held aside.

No, the pen isn't made by Parker...despite the arrow clip. Lanbitou makes that pretty clear with its artsy, two-colored Space imprint directly underneath the clip, as well as Chinese characters and model number. The Lanbitou logo can be found on the rear of the cap, and near the barrel end is the character for 'fine'.
