One of the auctions on eBay that I was watching has gone bananas.  It is a Waterman 92 in Blue and Bronze (same color Waterman called Turquoise for the Patrician).  Seems to be in good condition, but the bidding has gone over $1000 with about 12 minutes left in the auction.  Earlier this year I picked up one of these on the Bay for $200, and mine was essentially NOS - better than this one.

Fools and their money are soon parted....probably the result of a pointless bidding war.

It's all good. He has less cash now for reasonable bidding on appropriate pens. Flushing the amateurs as they say ;)

I would charge >$200 retail  for a nice one (pen in ebay ad looks a bit dark), but not terribly more.

I thought the one I got was a tremendous bargain at $200.  It does look lighter than the one in the auction, but that just might be the photo. Although darkening is the problem some of that color have.

I agree with Allan $200 for one in good shape would be a fair price, I would have shot for mid 2's maybe 3 hundred tops.

Guess a better start listing some neat Waterman pens! Wonder what a 20 would sell for with these two bidders going at it?

Makes my 94 look a bargain and I thought I'd overpaid.

Good quality vintage flex nib pens pay for themselves with value, responsiveness, and performance. Gotta love them!

All this makes me even happier about my recent purchase of my mahogany 94 (£74 = $120)
