The seller could be Bobby Crush!
Andy, I am very much of the Leslie Crowther / Peter Glaze era, but my three letter never received a reply never mind the tickets I was asking for.

I'm pretty certain that Unique was manufactured by Conway Stewart but I don't think it adds much to who made the Typhoo pens
I really don't think so - all CS pens with that type of side clip were almost certainly bought in from the US and they pre-date Unique pens by at least 3 or 4 years.

Unique was made by Unique, and they made pens for other manufacturers too.

There is a question mark in the later 1920's when it is quite likely that Unique sold a combination of imported, bought in and own manufacture pens as it built up the business. Certainly by the 1930's all Unique pens were made by their manufacturing arm, Union Pen. But there again, after 1953 when there was a dispute between the two, Unique were forced to buy in stock and after 1954 when Union Pen went into liquidation Unique imported and bought in pens, either whole or in parts to assemble.
My feeling is that the pen dates from the late 1920's and was bought in. If not from Conway Stewart, who else used the three leaf clover on the filler lever? De La Rue?

Peter, If you are referring to the clover type logo, as distinct from the one I would describe as a three blade propeller, then that logo was used by Lang. It appears on Pinnacle models and on some of the Rosemary pens made for BCP

Paul,
The logo on the Unique is interesting. It is not the propellor, it is more of a clover/shamrock motif, but not I think like the typical Lang version either, and definitely not Conway Stewart related. If you go back to the auction link posted by Cob (no. 15), there is a good clear picture of the lever in one of the pictures of the original listing.

I would agree, the motif on the pen in the link is notably different to both the Lang and the propeller examples I mention above. I cannot recall having seen this design on any other pen, and would not want to associate it with any particular manufacturer, except probably Unique themselves.
