Years ago, I bought a pretty little no-name ring-top pen primarily because I liked the color. It was a little like Parker's lapis blue, Conklin's sapphire, and Wahl's lazulitic blue - but had a lot more white and a more pronounced pattern.  The pen was a Stylecraft, and pretty forgettable except for the plastic it was made of.  I wondered why I never came across any more pens made from that type of celluloid, because I thought it was really outstanding.

A week or so ago, I finally did find another pen made of this material.  It was a pen on eBay - a very large Wardrite, which I knew was one on the pens from Monkey Ward.  It may not be exactly the same color/pattern as the little ring-top, but it is very close.  Just wondering if anyone else has seen this color.  Here is a picture, showing the ring-top and the Wardrite.

Incidentally, I am pretty impressed with the Wardrite. It is 5 1/2 inches long closed, and truly an oversized pen.

The Wardrite is a little different, and reminds me a bit of the Screaming Souls in Purgatory pattern.  So anybody else have any pens using this color and pattern?

I would say...

"Lieutenant Dan, they are of relation"

in terms of the plastic.

I had this material before, not in anything as good as the Wardrite. I had a great Wardrite in black, OS, what a solid, well constructred pen.

This one probably had nothing to do with that, David.  I found it simply by scanning for interesting looking pens in eBay.  I was looking for the pattern - not the brand. Actually, I have been looking for this pattern for years, and it's the first I have found.

This pattern seems kind of like:  True Blue meets Screaming Souls in Purgatory.

What could be better than that?

I could live with both those pens found them very attractive.  It got me wondering how many pen fanciers have bought pens purely on appearance and not knowing anything about the brand even pens with no brand.  I bought a little grey stripey pen cos it was reminiscent of Vac silver.  I will post a pic if I can find it amongst the chaos here but would love to see any more unusual plastics from obscure makers.

Here's my blue plastic. Pen sports a Wahl Oxford #2 nib. No imprint found on plastic. Just figured out how to show larger image. That better.

Thanks for replying, RichKen. That is definitely the same plastic.

The pen doesn't really look like a Wahl Oxford to me. The rounded top of the cap, the shape of the section, and the lever don't look like Wahl pens. My guess is the nib is a replacement.

Very similar plastic was found on certain Aiken Lambert pens.

I don't know if this is a different plastic or the same in a lot worse condition but it says HALL'S JAYHAWK, TOPEKA and it has a Parkette nib
