Shot this back around 2003, just as it was changing hands.

Goodness gracious, that is unusual.

Schrödinger's cat walks into a bar.  And doesn't.

wow... I've never seen that ebonite before. And the rings on the barrel...

There were barrel markings that was a Wahl? Not just the clip?

The last pens that MT seemed to advertise were the "Eternal" pens, and then the company put out a wide range of different styles, shapes, sizes and filling systems before eventually closing up shop. I invite you to post your pictures of your American pens

Solid provenance on this one, totally correct. Came from one of Wahl's design engineers, along with a load of other experimental stuff.

Marc -

As I'm sure you know, but slipped your mind, Wahls produced after the Tempoint period do not contain barrel imprints.  Any imprint would be above the clip on the cap.

This pen is in one of my display cases, next to the brown mottled prototype that came from the same group of pens.

Cliff, I actually don't know that well - I know the markings at the top of a cap on the Wahl Pen and Wahl Signature pen in 27 (?) from having seen the catalogs, but as I don't normally collect hard rubber pens, this is an education for me.

I hope I never get to a point in this hobby that I stop seeing something new.
