Hullo.

 

I have posted some snaps in the gallery and in this thread, of my recently acquired Waterman's red-ripple Safety pen.  I was wondering if these Safety pens from Waterman's had model numbers and which this one was.

 

Edit!  Sorry, got the glass out and found the number 42 stamped on the end of the barrel...

Might be 'teaching granny to suck eggs' but have you read David N's section on his web site that explains the Waterman numbering system?

You can identify model no. even if no. worn off bottom of barrel if pen has correct nib.

42 - safety with No 2 nib.
