Please join the Mabie Todd Swan project where I am trying to sort out the undocumented mess that is American Mabie Todd's from the 1930's. The last pens that MT seemed to advertise were the "Eternal" pens, and then the company put out a wide range of different styles, shapes, sizes and filling systems before eventually closing up shop. I invite you to post your pictures of your American pens

My favourite piece of Swan ephemera is the Swan Camerascope, a 3D viewer presented in a neat cardboard box along with some picture cards showing pictures of the Swan factory and offices. They would have been given to stationers so that their customers could see what things looked like behind the scenes. I have a set with the viewer and 15 different cards, all in mint condition, but there may be other cards out there. The date I think is mid 1920s. The sample card below shows their repair bench, but I don't think there is one of those cardboard repair boxes to be seen there - cardboard would have been too flimsy for their busy repair shop. I think it would have been intended for the larger stationery stores that had their own repair workshop.

Much to my surprise it refers to the rather unusual #5 nib self filler. Hardly ever will you encounter one in the wild.
