Today I found this Waterman 12; as you can see from the photo the italian importer made available instruction and box (in italian).
On the clip it is engraved L&C Hardmuth Paris, so as it is probably from France.

This photo has been taken after some polishing to clip and nib

The instructions also report the price of the pen (20 Lire for the pen, plus 1.75 Lire for the clip), in the back there are reported the prices for different type of repairs (for example the price for a gold nib is 9 Lire).

The pen is in working condition, but it seems to me that the nib is a little bit back on the feed, so I should open the pen and adjust it.

Ciao

That's a nice find.  I would caution, though, that even if it is working now, the old cork may fail in no time.  If you have the means and know-how to take it apart to move the nib up further on the feed, I would recommend getting some of David Nishimura's o-rings to replace the old cork seal while you're in there.

Thank you for the suggestion. I think you are right.

By the way, when Waterman changed its numbering, going from 12S to 42?

It seems that, although the sealing on the back is ok, I've to change the cork. Indeed, after I've done some cleaning of the inside of the pen, I've found that the nib of the pen does retract when writing independently on how small I press on the paper.
