Tis Halloween, there are spooks about,

Ghoulies and ghosties without a doubt

Who is the character in the image – or rather, who was he before I turned him into a witch?  (Andy T is disqualified on the grounds that the question is far too easy for him!)

Though 'Andy T' may be disqualified, I guess I am not - but  I won't give the game away. Suffice it to say for now he was Conway Stewart's answer to Onoto's Peter Pen!

You've got it!

Speedy Phil is one of several androgynous little critters that appear in advertising in the early part of the 20th century.  I'm sure there's a scholarly paper in it – The Epicene Figure in Art Deco Advertising, perhaps.
