Watermans sign

Hi,
Moved this to the Waterman forum where it will be more easily spotted.
That's a great sign. note that our GALLERY tab at top of page (with some instructions at least for slightly older version in our GREETINGS/NEWS forum) allows much greater storage capacity for images. The 500kb for the individual posts tends to run out quite quickly. Once in Gallery, full sized images can be pasted right into posts via the BBC code in Share-Options.
Anyway, I harvested the pic and can offer it full size here.
I do not know the origin of that image. There are rumors tying Waterman pens to the signing of the Treaty of Versailles. IIRC David Nishimura cited a Waterman advert mentioning such. I don't know if that ad has the same image shown below, though the pen shown is appropriate to that era. The image is a print, not a painting? I wonder if it was used originally at point-of-sale.
Perhaps some of our aficionados of Waterman from this era will have more to offer.
Nice item.
regards
