On a local auction site I catched this:
It's the size and diameter of a 52V but there ore no markings.

For comparison, I put it side by side to another 52V

The pen has been made in France. And there is a stamp which says: "Doublée Or laminé", which means gold plated.

I have seen this pattern in the Book by Gary Lehrer and Max Davis but on slightly different pens.

Can someone confirm that this pen is a 52V?
And do you think the feeder is original to this pen or from a later pen?

Thanks in advance for your help.

In the mean time, I found a similar pen in sterling silver on David Nishimuras site. The lenght is identical, 114mm.

David calls it just 52. May be I should have a look at the nib if it's 18 ct too.

It is a 52V I'd say, that feed looks to be from a later pen though, however it could be original depending on the date that manufacture of the pen ceased in France.

Oh man, thanks for the clarification on that inscription, i had been trying to figure that one out for awhile when i ran into it on a later french waterman pencil.

as far as your beautiful pen, i second what was said above, if it was in the us standard numbering system it would likely be labled as 0552v

The feed is original to Waterman for sure but as stated before it's later, I'd say 40's while the pen looks to me late 20's. You can easly replace it I think unless ... you have no doubts it's in original condition, then it would be kind of mistery :)
