Why was the Ventura advertised as the pen that burps?

Eversharp advertised their Ventura as "the pen that burps"

 

Why?

 

It was a simple lever-filler, or, in Everahrp jargon it was a flip fill What was the burp about? Why was a "burp" a good thing?

Marketing silliness. The burp is the escaping air bubbles when you compress the sac...or squeeze an Aerometric filler on a 51 or plunge the rod on a Sheaffer vac-fil. Even a piston filler burps, slowly.
