Anyone interested in "trying" to get a sell and swap going here? I got a few parts and a few projects that I would like to advance. I just want to know how much genuine interest there is in this. I will post up a few projects I have, and a few items I am in need of, see if we can get it going.

I have a whole box of parts, about a hundred partial pens. Mostly common stuff though. What are you looking for?

Sounds like a good idea. I often need different parts but after looking on E Bay for a few months for donor pens I just move on to the next project and tend to forget about the parts I am looking for. Very often I pay way over the odds for a complete pen and find that repaired it would be equal to or better than the pen I am trying to repair so the search goes on. I have a P Vac. Maxima in Silver with an Emerald cap and have been looking for ages for a pen with the opposite combination. How likely is that?

As for me I think we all have project pens so I am not different in that respect.

Sounds great - I am looking for caps for approx.. 50 pens. I have about 150 caps -mostly WTM parker ( lots of Vacs )and sheaffer available as well
I do not repair a lot of pens but as PICKER I always am buying pens for parts whenever I can so I do have a lot lying around

Rick I think you should pursue this idea, a list of wants / needs is a grand idea.

 

Sometimes  I come across something that is in all likelihood quite useless to me, but would be of value elsewhere. For example I recently passed on a Conklin Endura and an interesting Eversharp Doric (or something similar)  that would have sat here forever waiting for spares. Probably valuable items in the US, useless over here, but how would I know who would need them?

 

Today I have a similar issue with a huge blue Carter pen. The barrel is shot hence it was in a junk box, but the lever, nib & section unit, and possibly the cap might be of use to someone..... I guess like most Brits I have never seen or heard of a Carter Pen before, and am unlikely to ever need this myself.

Sounds like a great idea, Rick.  Now to organize my parts and projects to the point where I could actually post something worthwhile in said topic...
