A while ago a "modified" flat top woodgrain appeared on the 'bay....the cap rounded and not very well..

so

it turned up again on the 'bay here  tidied up a bit...the restoration mentioned :

• Pen thoroughly cleaned & trimmed polished
• Nib and feed ultrasonically cleaned
• New ink sac installed
• Nib and feed adjusted for optimal flow
• Test driven for a week to insure quality

I find it interesting no mention of the clearly modified cap only that it has a few chew marks on the top.

Well, dang!   I almost think I recognize the style of the original poster - who I think is maybe the main culprit here, since there was no mention of the alteration. I hope not though, because I thought he was a good guy. I imagine there was some horrible problem with the top of the cap that prompted this radical surgery.

A "few chew marks" left after cutting away 30% of the top - must have been done by a ravenous wolverine.

Schrödinger's cat walks into a bar.  And doesn't.

Allan
