Hi folks!

Got a weird pen here, well, weird to me, sorry!

Box is marked "Singroitz" and the cap is sterling, unused pen, kinda of neat. Any info would be appreciated!

900 is coin silver; 925 is sterling.

You know, that looks to me not like "Singroitz" but "Singwitz".

Thanks for the feedback and help!

I guess it has no value/history. My wife, a master calligrapher and letter, said "Singroitz" so that is what I went with.

Guess I will scrap the cap for coin silver and melt the nib too.

Greg, I did a quick Google last night and there were a number of hits on Singwitz pens. Might not be first tier, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a history. I see no rush to melt the thing down. This is how history gets lost, as minor a data point as it may seem.

Singroitz is nothing.  If you start looking at the "Singroitz" hits, you find that they're all of this ilk or are errors.  The -witz suffix means "son of", and so is a common part of a surname, and Singwitz is also town in Germany, formerly East Germany, I think.  It's too bad they thought they could put a loop instead of a hook at the end of a w. Seems to have tripped a lot of people up.  Here's a different style print on a Singwitz box that is more clear

Of course, it might not be the same company, but what's the simplest explanation?

Might be a replacement nib, though.

So, there is something to be said for these pens, thank you all for the information!

I guess if someone offers me a good price, it is theirs!

Well, I would rather not melt anything, so if someone wants this pen, let me know!
