Pens n' People. A rare mix of work n' hobby. I popped back a bit early out west (I split time between home in NYC and hospital work in Parker's hometown of Janesville WI... long story) to cover a couple days shifts (I'm essentially completely a night hospitalist) as there were gaps in coverage. Had chance to stop in at hospital mid afternoon to get sign out and catch up with the day crew. Might be first time we've had four of us together in a room in months. Dr's Welch, Menet, and Bangert along with yers truly at the right. I've managed to get Dr. Bangert his first fountain pen, a 1920s Sheaffer flat-top in orange ("Coral") celluloid that even Roger Wooten would like. I have hopes to convert the other two.

I passed a coral celluloid up the other day. Outside of the (incorrect) sheaffer 3 nib being about good for gold recycle, there was unfortunately no redeemable quality of the pen. it was that far gone.

I got a decent barrel and a workable "46 Special" nib in corral somewhere, not too long ago.

someday the cap will come along, I suppose.

That is really neat! Rare do we get to see you in your "native" non-pen form.

Questioning the "ball point" on the table next to the piece of paper :-) Of course a hospital setting would require something less then vintage :-)

Had just arrived in town without yet the chance to unpack a real pen.

I'm using a nice OS Balance (vintage) and for couple days a Pelikan M600 before it goes to new home.
