Fountain Pen Board hopes to open to member posting in all forums late this afternoon... oh, perhaps 4-5pm or so, Eastern. Admin is trapped in the mountains, on a quite slow dial-up connection, but plans a foray into town to do final pre-release adjustments, leaving a frightening number of post-release adjustments pending, including:

• upgrading the Emoticon Pack
• posting guides to the use of key features (eg. Gallery, skin sets)
• getting Google Adsense in place
• adjusting some of the look-and-feel functions
• etc, ad- no doubt- infinitum

Initially, significant online storage will be offered for photos, perhaps 15MB per member. In time this will be grown or reduced as capacity allows.

Key of course will be actual use of the board. No doubt the site will start out slowly. Time will tell if interest is sufficient to continue. But, time is cheap
