My first Parker Double Jewel Burgundy Vacumatic!

Found at the flea market today, seems to be in nice condition. I got lucky/living right I guess!

Are you certain it actually is a Vacumatic?

it could be a Vacumatic, but might not be. Have you checked the barrel imprint?

Oh good! Was thinking I would need to take it apart to salvage parts to at least get something back on my investment! Thanks!

Then it is a Vacumatic, very early , pre 3rd quarter 1934, when date codes first appeared.

Your images showed some very early features, raising chance it was a well rarer pre-Vacumatic Parker Vacuum-Filler.

Opaque barrel?

Note it looks to have single-piece barrel-section. Don't try to remove the section. Fatal.

Oh, I see! Great to learn these details, thanks!

Barrel is see-thru, not 100% but pretty good to see ink inside.

Section does unscrew, not one piece. Already had apart to replace the ink diaphragm. I have had just one of those pens over the years and I know to be careful, so I always check first with a 10x loupe the joint just to be sure.

Thank you!
