Grading remains a risk with the package pending, but can you see the "Happy David" pen in this group?

I'd say David is happy at least 2 times if not three though one is a bigger happy than the others.

Big pen in the middle is a Univar.  It is a particularly large one.  There are also what looks like two Diamond Point pens.  David likes these 'sub brand/rebadged/contract/etc' pens.

Hi Todd.  Diamond Point is a 2nd/3rd tier independent brand. It's Diamond Medal that is the Sears hours brand. Still, Diamond Point has bit of a following, as the plastics often are very pretty. Both of these resemble the patterns seen on some better known brands, but I'm not investing in keeping that pair.  The bonus Sheaffer 5-30 nib in the desk pen doesn't hurt

But, the Univer is the big boy in this bunch.

Doubt I've seen five since starting in the hobby.  Sheaffer sub-brand (or perhaps re-badge; info on them is sparse)..

regards

And isn't the Univer a black and pearl coated with clear green celluloid? Without much wear to the coating?

Yep. As per this thread

http://fountainpenbo...er-by-sheaffer/

The three pens at right are black and pearl with a thin (presumably Celluloid) color coating.

Yes. I was referring to the Univer as the sub/etc pen but that wasn't clear.
It is an interesting pen and it is under appreciated.

Very nice Univer, David. I have one just like it... one of the first pens I found when starting to collect. I still remember getting it at an antique shop in North Beach for $15.

Mine has a Warrented 6 14k nib. What's in yours?

My real search is for the same pen in red and black. A local collector has one of those and he's looking for the green version like mine. I've seen the green upon occasion, but the red is very elusive.

Same nib.  I have green and blue. I'd like a red OS
