This listing in Ebay Germany is supposed to be for a minty 1932 Pelikan 100.

The problems with this auction are the tw0 chick logo, PD nib, a no-holes plastic cap, and brilliant blue and black binde, which together seem to scream May 1938 to Feb 1940.  The bidding for this "unusual pen is now at $500+...!  I alerted Ebay, twice, and they don't seem to give a hoot.  Perhaps my suspicions are wrong but i would appreciate comments from Pelikan mavens.

1932 is wrong, of course, but mixed up parts are nothing uncommon on vintage Pelikans.
The cap is probably a replacement and should be HR with the four chick logo.
The special thing about this pen is surely the blue binde, which looks quite authentic to me.
Possible that this auction will end between $800 and $1000.

TY for the observations...

This guy is selling it on the basis that it is a 1932 pen.  The cap is clearly 1938+ and as far as the body goes, the PD nib places it between May '39 and Feb '40.  There is no way that the binde is a 1932 model.  He refuses to date the pen properly.  I am wondering if the binde is a replacement as well, making the whole thing a frankenpen.

As already said, the interesting thing on this pen is the binde and not the (wrong) date. I think that Pelikan collectors will note this.
Nice pen. I like it but will not bid.

BTW, I did find Palladium nibs on earlier pens, around 1937.

The section is not a tapered one (like in 1932). On eBay we can find a French seller offering personalized binde's of all colors. A deceit
