Has anyone got any experience with replacing the sac on these late leverless pens?

My current plan is to knock out the nib and feed, and use a dowel to hold the (#16) sac straight as I screw the section back in.

I can't see any way of removing the turn knob, and the pressure-bar sits in a flat on the section threads, so it must be in place and rotating while the section is screwed in.  This does mean it will rotate with the sac, so maybe not too much of a problem?

Any thoughts or suggestions welcome!

John

What you suggest would certainly work, however the sac might stay fine bt screwing the whole lot in as the press bar stays in the same position.

Can't actually remember what I did the last time i did one.

Thanks for the quick reply.  You are right, I'm sure, that it will be Ok to screw the whole lot in with plenty of talc to stop the sac catching on the barrel.  I have the set up for sale at the moment and the buyer may not want to use it, in which case it's academic, but most people, in my experience, want the sac installed.
