Weird Waterman's Barrel End

Hi folks!
 

Got this slip cap Waterman's has a weird barrel end, check out the photos. Eyedropper model, slip cap. I figured out the "groves" in the barrel to prevent suction from posting/un-posting the cap, but the end of the barrel notch eludes me.

There seems to be a joint under the end - does it unscrew ?

If there's a curved stem with a ball end underneath then it is a pump filler methinks.

Waterman pump filler.  Here are a couple of Nishimura links showing the notch in the barrel end and the barrel grooves.

Yes, it does unscrew, and in one of the links provided to David N's site, it has that exact thing on the end, very cool!
