Thanks for the info, but I wonder if they are replacement pens were due manufacture of these models with date data, or maybe spare parts are manufactured? - I have no info about this and think anyone can do it with the Parker system (brand impression, age.., under pressure from hot mold) - and in this case, which were manufactured and during that year were made in USA, in Canada, UK,? it would be interesting to know this to properly identify the pen. Thanks again

My suspicion is that for a single quarter in 1941, perhaps all date-coded pens have that upside down mark. I do need to look at more pens. Likely was an error, but might be the rule (even if unintended) for that quarter. Seemingly late production pieces are known. 1939 Mandarin flat-tops for example. Whether these were late parts blow-out or barrel replacements stamped at time of use at the Parker plant, I cannot say. Not sure what to make of the description of your second pen. A pic would help.

Hello again and thank you very much for your help, the second pen - yellow mandarin Streamilined with three gold rings on the CAP - has a number 0 (zero) and one point, I consulted with the person that I bought it and has confirmed to me that is a zero with a point - I've uploaded a new picture of the area with the number and the point - and it is up to 1930, it should be first quarter (guess); I understand that Parker had to change the nomenclature of dates again during the decade of the 30, s were two numbers (quarter and year), during the 40,s was a number and one, two, three, or nigĂșn point (year and quarter), my surprise is that I have never seen a Duofold Flat Top Streamlined model or model with date codes - have recommended this book -The title is "Parker Duofold" by authors Shepherd and Zazove - but it seems that is depleted, they say is the most comprehensive info Duofold, perhaps some reader forum and have it can provide some info about it.

Hi,
Date codes first appeared third quarter 1934. A single zero indicates 1940.

Thank you very much for this info, then I can understand that this means that these models Parker Senior Flat Top and Streamlined models were made also during the 30s and 40s. I knew parker dates Vacumatic first generation following two numbers, later with a number and several points (quarters) and 51 more changes. Good information. Thanks again
