I wonder if anyone has any information, such as date, rarity etc, on this BHR eyedropper pen.  I have looked on the interweb but cannot see anything useful.

It was a gift from a calligraphy tutor, I wonder if the 'C' is for 'calligraphic'.

Vital Statistics:

Capped length 130

Section + barrel 101

Cap diameter 11.2

Barrel diameter 9.7

Original(?) nib shown below (I have fitted a Swan #2)

Cap imprint is very worn but appears to be:

"SWAN" 2C.

RD NO593115

PAT APPLD FOR

Barrel has the Swan emblem with TRADEMARK underneath,

and to the right of that:

THE SWAN

SAFETY SCREW CAP

MABIE TODD & CO

MADE IN ENGLAND

To the right of that, near the end of the barrel:

C2

MED

The Safety Screw Cap was introduced in 1911 and remained in production probably until the introduction of the lever fillers in 1920. It's not a rare pen but that's a nice example with the broad cap band. I don't know what the "C" means.
