I have to apologize that I am starting a thread that I am not posting in yet, but I do plan on when I get some time to take a few pictures. I am surprised David or Rick has not started the thread out to begin with but I always enjoy looking at others great finds of the year.

Pearce.

I'm in the same boat as you, Pearce.  As soon as I can figure out which pens I got last year (they're all getting mixed up) and take pictures, I'll be posting them here.

Okay, I'll start. Here are my pens of 2015:

23682354934_46dc8bc756_b.jpg

from left to right:

#1 Waterman's 0852V
Actually, I don't collect Waterman's pens, but this is the tentht of a mini collection of different 52V. That's why I had to have this.

#2 Parker "51" DJ Yellowstone and Empire cap
I already had the empire cap on a user grade Black pen. When I was able to buy a Yellowstone pen with user grade cap, the marriage was made.

#3 Parker "51" DJ Cordovan
Cordovan was the last missing color of a mini collection of DJ's in every color.

#4 Parker 61 Carribean Green (?) de Luxe cap
I have a weak spot for 61 and when I see a cheap one, I can not withstand...

#5 Parker 61 Legacy (?) cap
... also when I see an nice example like this which is not cheap, haha!

#6 Pelikan 101 Lizard pattern
It was a long wait for this pen. After 3 years of active search, I finally got this in a change trade. The condition could not be better!

#7 Pelikan 101 Toroise
One of the very rare accidentally finds this year!

#8 Pelikan 400 Light Tortoise
Got this from a very generous person and pen friend in a change trade.

#9 Pelikan 400 Demonstrator
This was the last missing variant of Pelikan 400 in my collection.

#10 Lamy Persona
Actually, this pen is to new for my collection, but I find Lamys concept of pens designed by famous designers interesting. Mario Bellino of course is a genius. The pen is definitely not (just my opinion).

#11Montblanc Turbo
Interesting 1980's design...

#12 Pilot capless faceted
I like the style and function of these pens, and I like to write with. For me, it's a pen to use (not that there would be a lack of pens to use here, haha!)

That's all.

C.

Well, I sold a ton of pens last year and bought a few (“a few” being, to me, an average of two a month); I also resold quite a number of those I bought, so I could keep this hobby on a self-sustaining basis. But these are the ones, my top dozen, that I thought were the best of this year’s crop, and I’ve kept most of them (although again, you might see a few of these for sale sometime this year, depending on my needs and moods

1. MB Ernest Hemingway—the priceless gift of a friend, now among my daily users, used primarily for grading student papers
2. Astoria Goliath in pearl and black—a custom job by Max Schrage, with a huge and springy No. 8 nib, one of my dream pens
3. Bexley Giant—a catch and release, since resold to a Bexley collector friend
4. Parker Duofold Senior Big Red set; I actually bought two sets, sold one, and kept the one with the flexy nib
5. 1942 Pelikan 100—a wonderful little pen; sadly it now wont suck up ink and will need servicing
6. Morrison Senior Overlay—a huge pen, with the gold overlay in gorgeous condition, with a semiflex nib; can’t believe I got it for less than $80
7. Parker Senior Duofold Jade Green—I thought it would be a parts pen, but the color was good enough to keep in the collection
8. Wahl Eversharp Doric Set in Morocco—a lovely set in great shape
9. Parker Vacumatic Senior Maxima in Burgundy—a lucky find on eBay, also in great shape; my big Vac find of the year
10. Pelikan M800 Burnt Orange—a new release with a beautiful IB nib, but had to resell to fund another pen
11. Conid Bulkfiller Streamline Demonstrator—the pen I got in lieu of the M800; am intrigued by the geekiness of this high-tech pen, also my first true demonstrator
12. MB Agatha Christie pen and pencil set—got this near-mint set, with original box, for a very good price, and had to resell my other near-mint Agatha privately to help fund this one (technically my third Agatha, and am still on the lookout for the vermeil).

Here's a pic of the cream of the crop, minus the ones resold and the ones yet to come:

Ok, here's an eBay pic of the Agatha set:

Here's to another pen-tastic New Year!

Check out my pens here and my blog here.

Quite a good year I'd say Jose!
I like the jade Duofold best.
Your Pel, does it have a cork or plastic seal? May be I can help...

I'm sorry for the really poor photos.  I don't have the time lately to take good ones.

It's really a shame that you can't see how transparent some of the nice Vacumatics are.

If you want to see better pictures of any of them, let me know.  I can take individuals on a smaller basis.

Anyway, here are most of my best finds of 2015.  Just realized it was quite a year!

All of the second tray will be staying with me, but about 1/3 in the first tray are going to be for sale at some point.

Wow, nice stuff Brian.

I didn't even know they made Coronet pencils in sterling, very jealous. Also jealous of the green Good Service, I have one in Silver but wish it was green, it would match my Diamond Medal Vac-Fil. I'm sure I'll come across one someday.

I suppose it's about time I post my pens of 2015, I promised Brian I would today!

There was a theme for 2015, Grieshabers & Hard Rubber. I collect larger Grieshaber pens, and the vast majority of my collection consists of pens from the 1920's through 1940's. I was able to add a few examples this year, all with large #8 Grieshaber or Sager nibs. I also added a couple of gorgeous Moore Safety pens and a Snapfil pen marked General Manufacturing. Not a huge group from 2015 but some pens that just don't come up too often.

Those are some great examples of high quality, lesser known American brands, Pearce.  Fantastic stuff!  Especially the thumb-filler Moore.

Thanks Brian. The pen is called a Moore Banker, from what I can tell this is the largest size they made it in a #6 size. Interestingly enough it is not a thumb filler, you place your thumb in the slot while screwing on and off the cap to help protect the nib from otherwise potentially being damaged.
