OK, first my usual "not bidding on this one" disclaimer, but what am I looking at here capwise:

David, I see from your essay where there were two years of Parkette Deluxe pens with the metal trim (and this one likely 1935) but this one has gold vs nickel trim on a black body.  Does this mean there are both clip types (stepped and faceted) as well as both trim types on the black body (nickel and gold)?

This style of black Parkette should have chrome trim.

The clip is brassed on the highpoints, so the cap rings have probably lost all their chrome plating.

That's what I was thinking too (about nickel being the only variety), but then I didn't realize that finish was plating, too.
