I've got 2 Duofold vest pocket pencils that have a small "D" stamped near the top of the barrel. The "D" is sideways so that it faces toward the tip. Does anyone know what it means or have any other letters to report?

I've got 2 Duofold vest pocket pencils that have a small "D" stamped near the top of the barrel. The "D" is sideways so that it faces toward the tip. Does anyone know what it means or have any other letters to report?
I have a black PARKER DUOFOLD vest pen/pencil set - other than PARKER DUOFOLD on the pencil there is no isolated 'D'.
