Hello All:

I am in need of help with this clip repair. Any one out in Computer land know how to put this poor pen back together again?

Kinda sorta like a Sheaffer clip spring.  Is the spring is complete and not broken?  Looks as if the spring is oriented the way it should be in the cap - the hook end is held by the end of the "box" and bends down when you "spring" the clip.  Maybe do a practice run and push the spring up into the "box" while outside the barrel to see if the straight-with-a-squiggle tail of the spring will sit below the opening in the cap.  Then put some double face tape on the end of a screwdriver (narrow enough to fit inside the "box") to hold the spring, insert the clip, and slide the spring into the "box."

edit:  or maybe trim a wooden popsicle stick/tongue depressor such that the spring will fit somewhat snugly over the end and not fall off on the way to the end of the cap.

Hello:

Could you draw what you are describing. I am having trouble. Mostly picking the spring up off the carpet. There is a hole in the top of the cap. Should the end fit into this do you suppose?

this is what I was describing, but it assumes the upper ears on the clip form a box to hold the hook end of the spring.  if you have a hole in the end of the cap, something else (a jewel?) is missing.

Thank you for the wonderful diagrams. I have tried this numerous times. It seems that the spring is not long enough. I am wondering if it is broken also. It is a tricky thing to shove into the cap and not have it end up on the floor.
