Very nice. I think I've seen Marine Green desk pens with matching tails.

Sheaffer was set to conquer the industry in 1929 when they had a huge line of desk pens along with other things including many with matching tapers.

I found what looks like my pen in the 1930 catalog listed as H74DH @$8.00 Lifetime Balance.

Yes the catalog came out in 1930 but was certainly in development before the crash when it seemed the economy would support vast new offerings.

I hadn't thought about it but now that you mention it, I can see how events late in 1929 would affect future marketing of all kinds of things, (not to mention the global economy).
