Still mystified by this thing - has overtones of Eclipse and doubtless several others. The clip attachment is quite distinctive and may be a clue as to its origin. Noticeable shade difference between cap and barrel - all fits together nicely but that shade variation makes me suspicious.....

Nib is a Thompson Pen # 8  - possibly gold but not marked as such. Certainly not steel as it isn't magnetic. Might be brass or some other alloy. Nice smooth nib utterly devoid of tipping !

Any info ?
