Hi again, some time ago I asked about this Pen sheafer,s Flat Top 5-30 and you gave me accurate information about the 5-30 meaning. Now I have restored the Pen and it is a wonderful, writes like the first day, magnificent, and the IMPRINT in the barrel is perfect and here is born a new incognita for me and so I ask Help:

You'd think I'd know that reflexively, though I don't. Perhaps $5 cost and 30 year nib warranty. The dates are various patents that contributed to the pens existence.

5-30's (3-25's and 7-30's) are throwbacks to limited gaurantees on radite flattops. $5 pen with a 30 year gaurantee. This was dropped in the early 30's for 3's, 5's and 7's which relate to size and are priced accordingly.

Thanks to everyone, yes, 5-30 means price and years of warranty, and dates seem to be patent dates, lever, lever mechanism, mechanism structure, etc.
