David: If there is no chance for a sneak peek because of the article, please let us know, when the pen finds it's way to paper, ok? Is there a list of your publications somewhere, per chance? As in: Title, date, periodical's name?
By the way: Are you planning to make available the "older staff" one day? I think I get the idea of exclusive articles, for the given magazine reader only, but maybe, after, say, 2 or 3 years after original publication, making it available to a broader public? That would give you a chance for an update too, as I know the knowledge of things tends to grow with the passage of time. Please consider that. Personally I believe you write them out of passion and for the fun of it, the thrill of a successful investigation or great find completing a segment of collection ... Maybe also a lecturer in you gives you the urge :-) ... and probably even the original publication doesn't mean any payment for you. What I'm trying to say is: I read some of your articles, while I still had access to The Pennant and I believe it would be a waste if they were never made available together. At some point in the future. If you decide to do it.
Obviously I'm being selfish as a person not being a subscriber (also to FPJ) but I'm sure it would make sense in general. There aren't so many people really interested in knowing about the staff at such a detailed level, either, so maybe the readership outside the magazines you write for wouldn't be a problem in terms of a possibility of loosing subscribers.
Anyway: Skygirl - interesting staff. Just read the trademark Patent from April 1940 Jonathan showed on FB.
