Stopped at an estate sale this morning that had already been running for 2 days; so figured all the good stuff was gone, but you never know. In a 25 cent junk box, found a ridge clip Jotter w/ no arrow/halo, so 1957 or so. Green barrel imprinted "Breckenridge Buckaroos" in white so I googled it thinking it had something to do with Breckenridge, Colorado. Nope, a school district in Abilene, TX, whose colors are green and white.

With all due respect Matt - Them may be fight'n words - The Buckaroos are from Breckenridge, TX - and the Breckenridge Independent School District. I'll give you that it's not far to Abilene, but the folks in Breckenridge might take it personal!

Oh, and nice pen find, by the way. The only pen I've added to the accumulation lately is a Sheaffer GF Stylist with an EF Triumph nib. The pen was given my by a woman in town who knows of my passion for fountain pens. It was her husbands who died around 30 years ago. Interestingly, the pen is as worn as almost any vintage pen I've come across but yet there are no scratches or dings in the cap or barrel. The gold filling is brassed over probably 30% of the pen. It was obviously well used and well loved. After a thorough cleaning it writes quite well, but it is a very fine extra fine nib.

Good hunting!
