That is really an interesting combination between the pen and the base. A lot going on there!

Hi David! As always, thank you for your thorough response! I find Esties to be fun, inexpensive pens - .and easy to find to boot. As mentioned I only have 2 thus far but it sounds like the J;s are my type of pen.

Hey, sorry to keep you hanging so long on this. I did not find your inkwell in my book and it's a pretty hefty one. The Collector's World of INkwells by Jean adn Frank Hunting. If you are interested at all in other inkwells, I would commend this book to you. Many excellent photos covering a wide variety of inkwell forms.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you!

In Topic: Antique Storage Units

I think I am well set for the moment with pen storage units. I stumbled across a 4 drawer (20 pens to each drawer) old metal thread spool cabinet. I was orignally looking for a wood one but this one was smaller in dimension and fit the bill nicely. I bought felt in bright red and dark green and lined the trays. Works really well.

The yesterday I bought a machinists wooden box like mentioned above. Got it for a good price and it has a nice patina to the wood. Not sure how many pens I can stash in there but it will hold many. Which is a good thing - all I seem to do is buy pens these days!
