Even Though I've had Vacumaticsin my collection for years, i'm appalled at how little I know about them still. I just heard of a slender standard length ist generation vacumatic. Is this tru? What colors does it come in what are it's exact dimensions and does anyone have a picture of one or more of them?

Thanks for your input.My guess was in line with David's comments. The seller said he thought htey would come but wasn't willing to do it himself. That set off alrm bells and sent me to the Board. It's been a hard color to find and even though he wants top dollar (actually above top dollar) for it and even though it has condition issues, I really hate to walk away from it. I'm stuck on the horns of a delimma it seems, sigh...

I'll reserve judgement on the sale until I see what Cross does with the brand. I have a few modern high end Cross fountain pens (mostly gotten as gifts) and find that, while the workmanship is fine the writing experience just isn't that good. Maybe they're just too big and heavy for my likes but as I mostly write with vintage pens, perhaps it's moot point for me.

Sadly, the one I got is somewhat beat up and lacks a lever (clearly had once once but it's gone). May make a nice coin or squeeze filler however ;-)
