Made in England, early 60s I think, £18 on the 'bay. What a nib.

Hi All,
I received this in the post this morning. Not too bad condition, but very filthy. The nib has that rainbow film on it, and the section is coated in dried ink, as is the inside of the cap I imagine.
How do I remove the stains? Is dilute ammonia safe for this?

These little beauties cost all of $29.99. Really nice condition: obviously used but hardly a mark on them. The pencil even has leads in it! The nib made a rainbow during its soak...blue ink, then red, then black.
