I walk into an antique shop in downtown Shepardstown WV, and after looking around, I ask the owner if he has any fountain pens. He reaches into the corner of a tall case where I would have missed it, and pulls out a box containing a Sheaffer set with a sticker still wrapped around the section. It's new in the box with no sign of ink usage. The window is clear and shiny with no scratches.
What struck me is the flex of the tines, which I've never seen on this type of nib. I decided I must have it, and we agreed on $25.
Now, the decision I'm faced with is whether to use it.
