WTB Skyline user-grade blue flex

26 November 2011 - 07:47 AM

Much like the Parker 51's, at which I initially turned my nose, but eventually came to appreciate, I now have a nagging, recurring and growing desire to purchase a Skyline with blue striped body and cap and a flexible nib. I don't know how common these pens are, but I see one on EBay, but not sure about the nib. I almost asked Dr. I about his $135 solid blue body, celluloid cap, but I'd rather hold out a bit for a pen that I like the color of, all the way around. Thanks!

Hello FPnuts!

I am subscribed to Zoss and that is how I found this new board. I am also on FPN. Raising 10 year old boy-girl twins, serving as a Den leader and Cubmaster has kept me away from a number of things I enjoy, including such places. I recently "fell off the wagon" of pen purchasing and landed with an 8.7 reverberation after two years of absolutely no time. I sent away a Waterman #3 to Richard Binder for repair and then bought his 'Bexwell' and in serching for a deal on a VP, I found Pendemonium's offering of the reproduction Skyline taxicab model. Sam also pointed out an out-of-production faceted barrel, .8 italic ground VP that just arrived this afternoon with the Skyline. I haven't even opened the box yet.

I look forward to lurking about a bit and seeing some great photos, like those of the star desk pen convertible vacumatic.

Have fun and I'll be checking in!
