Hi,

Hope that there are some Conklinista's here that can please provide some input.....

Interested to get some idea as to what vintage Conklin nibs are like. For example, do they tend to be on the firm side or some give or flex to them, etc.

Does these vary much by which model pen it is? ie, Nozac, Symmetrik, Endura, etc......

And what are the Cushion Point nibs like to write with?

A.  Matador Garant 998 - IM Masuyama Nib

You Matador fans out there know this is the 'Big One', the largest Matador made, with huge nib (similar to MB 149 or Hemi...), oversize celluloid pen, inkvue window, and piston filler.

Nib is a smooth and crisp IM 14C gold nib by the great nibmeister, Mike Masuyama.

Approximately 5-1/2" (13.9 cm) long capped and about 1/2" (14mm) diameter barrel.

Pen is restored and in almost like new condition. Gold trim looks great as you can see in pics below.

Pen is restored and in almost like new condition. Gold trim looks great overall. Just some brassing on the lever.
