We need a drooling emoticon on this board. ;) But suffice to say that is a beauty Akiva!

I am still a learner with identification of these old Italians, what brand is this one?

Was this one "found in the wild"?

The pen is an Aurora. The Novum was one of the premier models for Aurora in the 1930's.

This is a beautiful pen. Looks like the pen has the twist lever mechanism.

I'll not call that twist lever, because you don't twist it. There is a small lever that act (in a different way) like a button filler (bending an internal sping), you have to put it up and then move horizontally, like in this ad:

In italian is often called "levetta di fondo", meaning something like "end lever" or "bottom lever".

Thanks for the correction.

Did Aurora only use this filling system on the Novum series pens?

Old thread I know, but just discovered it.....

Wanted to say what a handsome and unique pen the Novum is!

I had one briefly earlier in the year, a black one, had a very short lever at the end of the pen barrel.....otherwise, similar shape to yours...
