On a recent swing through TX and while wander thorugh the "Worlds Largest Flea Market" I picked up this Enduro green marble pen.  I can't find any reference to it anywhere,  Not to be confused with Endura, of course.  The furniture on the pen is very nice and it has a 14KT nib to boot.  If anyone know something about it please pass it on!  Great to be back posting....

Hi,

It looks like you successfully loaded your pics to the GALLERY. Excellent.

But, it then is possible to show the pics  in in-line fashion.  In each GALLERY image, hit the black OPTIONS button, select SHARE LINKS, then, among the few options, copy the BBC code line. It is good to have a second window open for this, separate from the thread to receive the images.

Then, you can paste the BBC code right into your note, and your picture will appear when you confirm the post.   It really does get easier with time, no harder I suspect than using an external host like Photobucket.

Another approach is toe control click (on Mac at least), on your image when it shows, which allows "copy image". Then just  hit paste (Command-V in Mac, maybe CNTRL-V in PC) in the post and the actual pic should appear to you, not just the code that will become a pic when you post it.

Here are your images.  First one done by pasting in the BBC code line directly.

The next was done by copying your picture from your GALLERY, then pasting into the post

And so forth.

regards

Ye Olde Admin.

Looks a nice pen, nothing "rings a bell for me" though. The section shape may provide a clue.

That is a new one to me as well.  Wish I could be of more help.

The evidence I have strongly suggests that the Enduro was manufactured by Eclipse. Clips are identical to those on the Marxton (a known Eclipse subbrand) as well as the font on the clips.

It's in the "one of these days I'll get around to writing about that" pile here at Leadhead's spread.

Thanks Jonathan!, To your recollection would that have been in the era when they were making pens such as the Keene?  Which I have a great one of...  The Keene is a really nice pen, this one seems to be pretty solid as well.

Randy,

Here is a photo a Marxton (as Jonathan pointed out, an Eclipse sub) that I have.  If the Enduro is also an Eclipse brand, my guess would be that yours would be a bit later than this one and some of the familiar large Keene's.  As you see, there is little similarity here.

I look forward to Jonathan's Marxtons.

Thanks Phil, this one looks much more like my Keene, which is orange but similar shape. I look forward to them as well!

I'll get a couple pictures together.  I'm in the process of moving the collection -- the "wall o' pencils" was carefully disassembled and relocated to make way for a new guest room.  Most things are still packed in totes.  I thought I shot these but I can't find the pictures...

Wow - bet that's quite a move based on the pictures!  Thanks for anything you can find!  I'm looking forward to your blog on my Morrison pencil too!  I'll post the pics on here too.

Well it took me not quite a year, but I finally got around to taking those pictures I promised.  The article posted today over at Leadhead's, and it's indexed under Trupoint, Enduro, Moderne, Marxton and Eclipse.

Well, and almost 6 months for me to get back on here and say Thanks!  Nice article you wrote and I also have a Trupoint to compare to in a beautiful blue and gold swirl pattern!
