Anyone know what the brown stripe in the back of the ink-vue means? The nib is a keyhole but no indicator on color.

AFIK, it has nothing to do with a color code.  Some of the feeds have this red hard rubber stripe and it was produced at about the time ink-vues were made. Sometimes it also has "Waterman's" imprinted in the stripe. I have a few pens that have it. If there is any meaning to it, I don't know what it is.

Alright thanks because I didn't find anything online about it other than old sales.
