Greetings. I'm pleased to announce that issue 3.1 of Paul Erano's ᖴOᑌᑎTᗩIᑎ ᑭEᑎ ᒍOᑌᖇᑎᗩᒪ is in the mail and should arrive to subscribers during the next week or two. This issue pops. See new info about the vintage Waterman Patricians that collectors long had called "transitional", pens more recently believed to be "closeout" items (David Nishimura's web article provided the starting point for this piece by Yers Truly). Paul offers an in-depth consideration of lovely and high quality late 1930s- early 1940s Eagle Prestige pens (Part 2 of the Prestige discussion). FPJ also embraces articles about writing, ink, etc. Homepage for the Journal is at the appropriately named http://www.fountainpenjournal.com. Paul has been writing fountain pen guidebooks and magazine articles for more than 30 years. You should enjoy...

At last the Archive is active as well, with back issues for sale (not many left of first couple issues).

This was another great issue. Paul & co are doing a fantastic job. Who knows how many variants of the Patrician are out there to be found?

I don't ever recall seeing one of the high-end Eagles at a show, though I may have looked right past one.

It was nice to see that there is no bad blood between Paul and Jonathan Veley, considering that Jonathan replaced Paul as editor of the Pennant. Whatever happened, it's good that it's all in the rearview mirror now.

I don't ever recall there being bad blood between Paul and anyone.

Would a Patrician Nacre with golden 'furniture' be part of the herd possibly? Catalog says, it should be chromium mountings. It doesn't seem to be with this particular pen...

See for yourself:

Paul indeed has not maintained bad blood against anyone, even toward a fellow who was an asshole to him.

So it goes.
