Hi there again, first of all, a warm greeting from Malaga (Spain), this time I request help to identify this beautiful Pen - I leave photos in the Gallery - SWAN - it is a Pen with NIB Phillips (made in england) and it seems that in the Barrel is engraved (strong and crispy) something similar to Trade Swan 40 or Mark Swan 40, I can not identify well by the ornaments of the main letters.

Does anyone know what pen is this Swan 40 and at what age does it belong? Perhaps it is a Swan model and what is this 40 model? The word Swan 40 reads perfectly.
I have not been able to find information about this pen but I think that in this Magnificent Forum of people with so much knowledge in Fountain pens, maybe someone could help me.

I am very grateful in advance.
Best regards to all
Juan A

The inscription looks like a personalisation: Frank Swan to me, and the pen one of the numerous British Duofoldesque pens produced in the 1930's. Probably produced by Mentmore, Langs or Valentine's.

I think the nib is a bit of a red herring as they were major replacement nib producers (prior to taking over the Swan stock)

Thank you very much for your guidance, the truth is that it really seems Frank Swan, I'm baffled by the number 40 but the model if it looks like the classic Duofold. Thanks again and best regards
