i'm attending a literary festival here in toronto, and my sister flew up from virginia to see me and to bring a small hoard of pens i'd been storing at her place.
and what a trove it is. i'd bought most of these in lots for resale, but i'm going to have a hard time letting go of many. except for the pelikan 140 parts pen, all seem to be fully restorable. the prize pens are the bexley giant, the astoria goliath, the burgundy duofold (sold as an international but seems to be a centennial--have to verify), the two big reds, the sheaffer balance II, the CS 770, and the woodgrain gold medal. one great find was one of the big reds (which i will now have to hold on to)--with a lovely flexible nib.
one pen i'd been waiting for months to get my hands on is finally with me, and what a beauty it is:
