Assuming clean (and looks clean), I agree that is a quite reasonable price for such a beast, even factoring in restoration cost. After a long dry spell, during last couple months have made some nice finds on ebay. Maybe people are distracted by the warm weather.

A good price for a pen that looks to be in excellent condition. The pencil was an amazing price, I missed these!

Definitely asleep. This carmine pen pencil set with the wide cap bands went for $13. I wanted to bid but got home late.

The scrap value of the Triumph nib alone is twice what the set sold for. We could both have a sandwich and coffee. Then sell the nib-less pen on eBay, and still have the pencil with its wide gold-filled band. It’s beyond ridiculous.
