Never know what will show up on ebay. I've been hunting this for a while now, I've got the barrel and I desperately need the cap. I plan on bidding this one to the death

Great pen. Suspect you won't easily win the pen with intent to have a cap donor. I'll be happy to be proven wrong though

I know that on ebay maybe 10 years ago or so, one sold for about $1800.
After speaking with David today at the show, he told me it would bring around $7000-$8000
So you probably are right when you say someone offered him 2.5k. To someone who paid very little money for the pen, 2.5k is a very convincing offer.

I guess im passing my karma on to you A few weeks ago i bought a Waterman Doll on ebay for $5 Would rather have this tree bark silver pen, since im going into the sterling silver category of collecting.
